ABOUT US

We are the accident-prone. We always have been. Festivals, long walks, new shoes we swear will be comfortable… yet somehow we always end up limping home with blisters. In the kitchen, we’re the home chefs who occasionally misjudge a hot pan or accidentally cut a finger instead of a carrot.

This is all to say: we wear bandages a lot.

The aisle was lonely—children’s bandages or sterile medicinal options. We wanted something different. Something that speaks to who we are and what our interests are today, not a time capsule from the past. That’s when we started to research alternatives, to no avail. Nothing on the market matched our aesthetic or our interests.

And that’s when we learned the ugly truth: many bandage brands contain forever chemicals and are irresponsibly made.

If we wanted something better, we were going to have to build it ourselves. And so we did.

We named Benjie to honor (read: tease) Tessa’s older brother—who hates blood.

Because even though we’re the grown-up bandage option, we’re still here to have a little fun.

The Founders

We’re Tessa and Sara — best friends, longtime collaborators, and the duo behind Benjie..

We created Benjie because we needed it. We love clothes, we love style, and we believe even the tiniest details should feel like you. After countless beige bandages killed the mood, we knew something had to change.

Then we learned that most bandages contain PFAS and other harmful chemicals… and our “cute idea” became a mission. We’re here to make bandages that are clean, design-forward, and finally worth showing off.
